- 5/5 stars March 3, 2014I have been working with her for about 6 months. After being hit by a car 2 years ago, I had lost a lot of strength and balance. Sharissa designed a program to target these problems. I feel I have made progress and will continue to work with her.Anthony M.
- February 20, 2014I highly recommend Sharissa. She is extremely knowledgeable about fitness, nutrition, and general health. I am generally fit but was recovering from injuries when I first started working with Sharissa – she made me much stronger and has helped me get rid of the pain (and prevent futher pain or injury). She has tailored my programs to my level of fitness (as it has increased) and general health.Parvin M.
- 5/5 stars February 20, 2014Training with Sharissa is much more than just a tailored fitness program. It’s true, she does design a plan that targets your troubled areas, (for me it’s the belly), but she incorporates this specific focus into a whole body workout. She recommends sensible changes in diet that promote nutrition, and that provide the body with the right fuel for fitness. She’s also trained in Yoga, so the after-workout stretching and cool downs leave you feeling relaxed and invigorated for the rest of the day. And finally, her perky and proactive presence gives you confidence that you can meet your fitness goals! The results are astonishing, and in just a few weeks, you’ll be looking and feeling a whole lot better. If fitness came in a bottle, someone said, everybody would be fit, but it doesn’t. It’s work, so your best bet is to consult a professional. I recommend Sharissa!Gerard N.

- 5/5 stars February 20, 2014I have been training with Sharissa for 7 years and think she is fantastic! She really knows her stuff and continues to learn and grow and just keeps getting better. Sharissa has helped me with many goals through the years (post baby weight loss, half-marathon training, specific target areas – bathing suit season!) and is great at customizing programs and keeping them interesting. I’ve also introduced her to others whom she’s been able to help with injuries and age-related issues. With her many certifications, I feel I can recommend her with confidence.Teresa M.
A testimonial from a client
There is no easy road to fitness, and Sharissa is no ordinary trainer. I am constantly inspired by her enthusiasm and devotion to fitness. She keeps me motivated and fired up, yet, she is careful in designing program that specifically tailored toward my unique circumstance. As a clinician with 20 years of experience, I like her thoughtfulness, knowledge and down-to-earth integrity. As a trainee (being trained), her approach is whole – mind and body, and her guidance is above her class. I recommend Sharissa without any mental reservation.
Rock Mommy Gets a Fitness Advantage
I first met Sharissa Reichert when I was in my late 20s, preparing to go on an East Coast Tour with my band, Marisa Mini & The Underage Hotties. Sharissa, an avid music lover and high-energy trainer, whipped me into shape in just eight weeks, combining essential strength- and endurance-based moves with special forearm and wrist exercises (so I wouldn’t get tendinitis from playing my guitar every night). A few years later, having just come off having a baby, I was committed to nursing and healthy eating – but those stubborn last few pounds would just not drop. Though I had moved to Connecticut, I hadn’t quite found a personal trainer that I clicked with. So I started working again with Sharissa , this time via Skype, and we began a weekly virtual lesson series. Each week, she whipped my butt – taking me through everything from intense kegal exercises (to repair some of my pelvic-area muscles damaged from birth) to super squats and Pilates-inspired isometric moves. I now weigh less than I did before my pregnancy and have more lean muscle mass – all from weekly sessions with Sharissa and just 30 minutes of cardio three other days per week. My mom recently told me “you look better than you did before you were pregnant.”
Sharissa started working with me in early September. I will be 70 in March and although I’ve been active most of my life–jogging and when my knees failed, roller blading for an hour 5/week or doing indoor exercise when the weather didn’t permit outdoor–I stopped about two years ago when my husband, Martin, started having physical and mental problems due to hydrocephalus. Over that time, but mostly in the past year, I gained close to 15 lbs. and became quite flabby and a bit off balance.
During Sharissa’s initial assessment of me she quickly
perceived my problems of imbalance and weakness and set up a program that gradually addressed those issues. After about 12 hours’ training with her–that is, after a mere six weeks, I can feel a remarkable difference in muscle tone and stamina. I do not think that I will need her after this second series of 10 sessions because I feel so much better and believe that I can continue exercising on my own the way I used to.
Sharissa is a miracle worker! Not only has she helped me but I see a great difference in the work she has done with Martin who turned 83 in September. He had brain surgery in March to correct the accumulation of fluid there and needed five months to recover, but his recovery has been more dramatic since Sharissa started working with him. While I see my time with Sharissa as short-term, I see Martin’s time with her as long-term, and it’s money well spent because of the splendid results.
I want my husband to live a long, long time and Sharissa is the link to that eventuality.
Sharissa really knows about old bodies:
he knows what she’s doing and has never left us, even after an arduous session, feeling hurt.Beyond that, she’s a joy to be with–we laugh a lot! –we laugh a lot! We couldn’t recommend dear Sharissa more highly!
We wish you healthy lives!
